Dr. James Love, Jr. M.D., Ph.D. earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University and medical degree from the University of Connecticut. Yale is one of the world’s most prestigious institutions of higher learning. The University of Connecticut’s School of Medicine ranks among the top medical schools in the United States.
Dr. Love became board-certified in Pediatrics and Allergy/Clinical Immunology after training at Baylor College of Medicine – Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. The main pediatric training location for Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital, is recognized around the globe for its residency programs. It also achieved a position on U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Children’s Hospitals list and a coveted spot in Parents Magazine’s 10 Best Children’s Hospitals.
Dr. James Love is a Fellow of:
- The American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, a group of board-certified physicians trained to diagnose and treat allergies and asthma.
- The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the leading membership organization of 7,000+ allergists and immunologists.
- The American Academy of Pediatrics, is an organization of 67,000 pediatricians dedicated to children’s health.
His other roles include being a former president of the Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Society and a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center – Tulsa. The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine helps students acquire the skills to have remarkable and fulfilling careers as highly-capable physicians. The school’s specific training and research have changed the face of health care. The college helps bolster Oklahoma’s reputation as a national leader in medical education.
Dr. Love joined the Allergy Clinic of Tulsa in 1996. He was voted Best Allergist in Tulsa Kids Family Favorites in 2021.
Fifth Avenue Partner Spotlight on Dr. Jane Purser
Dr. Purser joined the Allergy Clinic of Tulsa in 1993, and her medical education, training, and experience began much earlier. Dr. Jane Purser received her Bachelor of Arts and Medical degree from the University of Colorado. The institution’s School of Medicine has made history. It is the site of the world’s first liver transplant and home to the country’s first nurse program. The University of Colorado spearheaded human cell cloning to understand genetics and cancer better and discovered the blood proteins that inhibit the AIDS virus. The school’s cutting-edge programs strive to enlighten health policies around the world.
Dr. Purser is board-certified in Allergy/Clinical Immunology following her training at the University of California at Los Angeles – St. Mary Medical Center for her internship and residency in internal medicine and at UCLA Medical Center for her Allergy and Immunology Fellowship.
St. Mary Medical Center has been praised for its cardiac care, stroke care, and women’s services. The facility has exposed physicians to innovative technology and research to prepare them for their medical journeys. UCLA Medical Center, also known as UCLA Health, was a nationally ranked health system in 2021. According to U.S. News & World Reports, it is currently the 19th top medical school in the United States.
Like Dr. Love, Dr. Purser is an American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Fellow. She is a former Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Society president and a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
Additionally, Dr. Purser has served on the Medical Advisory Board of the American Lung Association (ALA). The ALA leads efforts to improve lung health. The organization’s goals include curing lung cancer, promoting clean air initiatives, helping lung disease sufferers cope, and teaching people how to quit smoking.
Dr. Jane Purser is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center – Tulsa, where she has served as Chair of the Women in Medicine Committee.
Dr. Purser participates in medical mission trips and assists the Neighbors Along the Line, a program that teaches people how to improve their living situations actively. Volunteers provide nutrition, health, and literacy education.
In 2016, Castle Connolly voted Dr. Purser Top Doctor 2016. According to the organization’s website, there are 850,000+ practicing doctors in the United States.
